On the web page the vehicle is identified not only by its license plate numbers (if it is in German format) but also the vehicle type (like: Fiat 1.2 Ciao 5d). In the app you only get a 6-digit number - a number that is not displayed on the web page and therefore does not refer to anything. If you have more than one vehicle running on the same type of fuel you could easily get confused.
